Pearl of the Bosphorus

I had the ‘privilege’ (or maybe ‘curse,’ depending on who you ask) of traveling all over Turkey with my parents and brother. We moved from the far southeast to the northwest, hitting up seven different cities by the time I was 14—spending about two years in each place. My childhood memories mostly consist of trucks, soldiers, and the never-ending cycle of packing and unpacking our stuff. At 14, I was selected as 4th out of 50,000 candidates to join Kuleli Military High School, along with pilot training at the Turkish Air Forces where I had a chance to fly Cessna 172s for several sorties. ✈️

In 2010, I joined Istanbul Technical University ITU, where I studied Control and Automation Engineering and worked in Istanbul. In 2016, I moved to Berlin for further education at TU Berlin, while also working at the Fraunhofer Institute until 2021, where I contributed to various research projects.

Since 2021, I’ve worked with various startups and institutions, further honing my expertise in cloud technologies, security, data-driven development, and scalable architecture and infrastructure automation. With a solid foundation in engineering, research, and hands-on experience in diverse environments, I am continually focused on leveraging technology to solve complex challenges and drive innovation - and trying to make the most of it 👇.

Play mode

Music is woven into my existence, enhancing every moment. At work, it fuels my creativity and helps me find innovative solutions. When I unwind, it helps me relax and connect with my inner self. It’s the soundtrack to my life, the universal language that speaks to my soul. I also drop the hottest beats on the floor occasionally. 🎛️

Fest mode

Super duper shot from a festival around Berlin w/Chris. If you organise a festival give me a shout I’ll play or help with the construction gladly for free. 🌊

Uzundere was chosen as the slowest city on Earth. This dog showed me how to live chill — even if just for a moment. Traveling broadens our horizons, exposes us to diverse cultures, and fosters personal growth. It’s a powerful way to learn about the world and ourselves, creating lasting memories and enriching our lives. ⛰️

Ride mode

The best option when moving to a new country is to get two pairs of skis and carry them on a fixed-gear bike through the narrow streets. :skier: Bicycles have played and continue to play an important part in my life. However, I would not recommend riding fixed-gear bikes in Istanbul, especially with a gear ratio of 52/16. Your knees will be crying after every commute! Of coure cities such as Berlin and Vienna are the super ideal for cyclife. 🚴
